Memoir, ca. 1942-2000.

Jack relates his experiences during his time in a prisoner of war camp in Germany during the final year of World War II. He goes into detail about the work he did while he was there, the food they ate (when they had food), and different things that went on in the camp on a regular basis. A newspaper article included also shares these stories.

Jack served as a Pathfinder in the 101st Airborne Division of the U.S. Army European Theater in World War II from 1942-1945 achieving the rank of Private First Class. He was one of eight men who parachuted into occupied France to set up communications before the invasion at Normandy on D-Day, and was taken as a prisoner of war on D-Day (June 6, 1944) and held for ten months.
